February 2026: Time to Ground
February 2026: Time to Ground

Are you feeling a little wild? Unsettled?

After two full months of energetic turbulence—interstellar object 3I-Atlas, rare planetary alignments, significant solar storms, extraordinary geomagnetic disturbances, and a sprinkling of aurora viewing here in England—it is time to take a breath, step back, and assess the cumulative effects. This sets the stage for what may unfold in this, the second month of 2026.

The manic ride of energy events has created a deep sense of "unsettling." Our planet has been bombarded by solar storms and deep-space gamma bursts, while remaining under the influence of a series of rare celestial configurations that ratchet both electromagnetic and gravitational energies up to eleven. With six planets, our sun, and a pair of c

omets in the mix, the very shape of the solar wind and our own magnetosphere is being radically altered.

How is this energy impacting our planet?

Earth maintains a fundamental base frequency known as the Schumann resonance. It ranges from approximately 8 Hz to 40 Hz, which happens to coincide with the frequency of human brainwaves. Consequently, flux in the planet's energetic state directly influences our physical, mental, and spiritual systems. We have just witnessed a phenomenally high earthquake outbreak globally; the Earth is quite literally "letting off steam."

Furthermore, terrestrial weather patterns remain erratic. The polar vortex shifted as far south as Texas and spanned half of Europe. Bizarrely cold or unusually wet weather has become the norm rather than the exception. After ten glorious days of unfettered sunshine in southeast England (from the 1st to the 10th of January), the clouds settled in for the remainder of the month. The ground is saturated, the skies are perpetually grey, and with abnormally high temperatures, spring is attempting an early, precarious arrival.

What effect is this having on humans?

Simultaneously, people are reporting feeling agitated, uneasy, and hyper-reactive to both local and international events. Have you noticed? Other manifestations include insomnia, anxiety, and a vague, inexplicable sense of urgency. I feel it myself. For about ten days, my sleep was unusually sparse; it wasn't until January 30th that I finally had a decent night’s rest. And boy, does that exhaustion change the daily experience. Brain fog. Listlessness. An astonishing lack of physical and mental vitality.

With the full moon approaching today, 1 February at 10:09 pm GMT, these energies are reaching a crescendo. We may see this peak for a couple of days before a slow release—like letting air out of a balloon in a deliberate, controlled manner—occurs for the remainder of the month. This creates the necessary space for accumulated energy to find an exit. An exhalation. A giant sigh. How this expresses itself will vary, often in surprising ways.

It’s Time to Embrace Imbolc/Candlemas.

The first day of February marks Imbolc, also called Candlemas. This traditional milestone marks the beginning of spring—the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. As the days grow longer, we celebrate the returning light through the lighting of candles, spring cleaning, and nature wanders. It is our conscious contribution to the slow shift of seasons and the start of a fresh growing year.

Sounds like a generic astrology reading, doesn't it?

Perhaps, but the bio-physical signs are all around us. Here in England, the first snowdrops have emerged, their glowing white flowers acting as beacons. These are followed by primroses and fig buttercups, lining the verges of country lanes and decorating our gardens. Nature is reawakening; her hibernation is ending, and the spectacular beauty of springtime is already visible in these early-flowering sentinels.

The timing of this month’s full moon is perfect: a moment when Earth’s energies reach peak saturation and seek a path of least resistance. After a season of "floating grounds" and intense electrical noise from solar and interstellar inputs, the Full Moon offers a telluric sink. It is the moment we reconnect our dangling wires back into the damp, dark soil of the Earth. We aren't just letting steam out; we are discharging the noise so we can hear the clear signal of the coming year. Prepare to leave the chaos of the past couple of months behind and embrace the new opportunities heralded by nature’s reawakening. Now is the time for a proper "clean-out"—of your home, your workspace, and your internal circuitry—before the heavy growth of spring arrives.
